Alex trained as a lawyer in the UK with SJ Berwin LLP. On qualification she moved to US firm Kirkland & Ellis International LLP and joined the Investment Funds practice. Alex made partner at Kirkland & Ellis in 2013. She then joined the global funds team of US firm - Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in 2015.
During her time as a lawyer Alex specialised in complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions. However, she was also heavily involved in the recruitment, training and mentoring of associates. This led to her appointment as Graduate Recruitment Partner at Fried Frank, where she was responsible for recruitment of the firm's UK legal graduates and organisation of their training and qualification programme.
Alex's experience in the development of talent inspired her to set-up her own coaching business in 2017 aimed at helping city professionals advance their careers and increase their confidence and wellbeing.
Alex's coaching practice focusses on improving the performance, productivity and wellbeing of lawyers and other city professionals. Her coaching blends performance psychology with her own 15+ years of experience in the industry, resulting in credible and practical solutions.
